17th Annual Hope & Healing Place Half Marathon

The Hope & Healing Place is a nonprofit organization that has provided free grief support services to children and families since March 2003. The annual Half Marathon is a vital fundraiser that allows us to continue offering these services at no cost to the families who need them most. Physical and mental health are fundamentally linked, and this race is designed to honor both. Whether you are running for personal wellness, in memory of someone you love, or in support of our mission, every mile you run helps bring hope and healing to our community.
The 13.1-mile course takes runners through scenic downtown Amarillo, the historic Oliver Eakle and Wolflin neighborhoods, and along iconic Route 66 — offering a meaningful and memorable running experience. This year’s event is part of a larger Hope & Healing Place community experience. Runners are encouraged to stay after the race to take part in Wings of Hope, including a butterfly release honoring remembrance, healing, and resilience. Your run makes a difference — thank you for being part of the journey.
