10th Annual Red Moon Trail Run presented by Bayne's Apple Valley
Join Dig Deep Race Events, Bayne’s Apple Valley, Jolt Credit Union, Runners Athletic Company, Runnin' Gear, and Complete Runner for the 10th annual Red Moon Trail Run!
The Race
This event takes place at Midland City Forest in Midland, MI. Runners can choose from a 5K, 10K, or 25K race. The night races will be run on wide trails (not single track) marked with small LED lights. Runners completing multiple laps of the 5K course will have split times recorded as they pass through the 5k finish arch for each lap until they complete their 10K or 25K events. A daytime 5K option is also available for those who prefer to run in daylight.
All participants will receive a professionally timed event, a Red Moon Finisher Medal, and (for those of legal age) a couple of adult beverages. Online participant photos will be available for free download.
A portion of the proceeds from this race will be donated to the Great Lakes Bay Veterans Coalition.

Event Start Times
Packet pickup will begin at 5:00 PM on race day and close at 9:00 PM.
- DAYTIME 5K - 6:00 PM
- NIGHT TIME 25K - 8:15 PM
- NIGHT TIME 10K - 8:45 PM
- NIGHT TIME 5K - 9:15 PM
Note: The 10K and 25K events start earlier to ensure they finish in the dark, while the 5K starts closer to nightfall.

Registration with a guaranteed shirt size ends Sunday, August 23rd at midnight. After this date, shirt availability will be limited, and registrants can opt out of a shirt to save $5.

Saturday, August 29 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM in the field below the sled hill, Midland City Forest’s Monroe Parking Lot.
Course Description
The Red Moon Run will take place in Midland’s City Forest on flat, wide-track trails and mountain bike trails. The night course will be marked with small LED lights. The race is composed of a 5k trail course with options for 1, 2, or 5 laps. The start/finish will be in the field below the sledding hill.
Amenities
All participants will receive a 4” finisher medal, FREE online race photos, custom race bib, and professional chip timing. Cold adult beverages (21+ with valid ID) will be provided. Shirts are Next Level Unisex 6210 and Ladies Cut 6610 CVC soft blend.
Awards
Awards will be given to the Top 3 Overall Male & Female finishers for each distance (5K, 10K, 25K) based on gun start times.
